procmail - spamassassin error
« on: December 12, 2004, 12:53:00 PM »
Hi.

I have problems with getting my spammails moved to the junkmail folder, even though it is marked as spam, I have followed this instruction from swerts-knudsen:

The RPM installation script should have enabled procmail for all users but I have heard of it failing. The best and easiest way to enable procmail is then to first install the UserPanel and the Lazy Admin Tools. First install both and then issues the following command from shell:
# lat-procmail -c "*|enabled|no|some|normal"
Lazy Admin Tool:
http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/downloads/e-smith-lazy_admin_tools-0.9.0-1.noarch.rpm
UserPanel (1.60 for SME 6.0.x):
http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/downloads/Userpanel/

And it is giving me a message, that procmail is activated for all 3 users I have.

But spam-mails are not moved to junkmail.

regards, Loejf

hi Loejf,

Are all the users local to the server you wanted to have emails sorted or is it a "delegate server" that does spamfiltering and antivirus. If it doesn't have the users local no filtering will be done as I use procmail for filtering.

If they are local then I am running low on good ideas. Is it a SME 6.0.x and which version of the sme-spamfilter are you running?

Hi.
I´m running spamassassin 3.0.1
All users are local users
I have exactly the same setup on 2 other servers, and it is functioning all right. I do get a statistic where the amount of spammails are counted correct, but the spammails are not moved to a junkmail folder.
The junkmail folder are even not created. This happened automatically on the other servers.

Regards, Leif.
