I have a small problem, and I know it's entirely my fault, not the smeserver...
I use fetcmail to pull mail from several accounts on an external pop-server. I had two users with similar usernames on the smeserver (v. 5.5), but needed only one of them, so I deleted the user folder for one of them, and renamed the remaining one to the name of the one I deleted... Sounds pretty silly, but it was a MS Windows reason for doing this.... Problem is that i forgot to alter my .fetchmail.rc file to reflect these changes, so fetchmail tried to put incoming mail for the user in question in the folder which I renamed... So the mail got pulled from the pop-server and deleted there, but fetchmail could of course not find a user folder to put the mail into. Does the mails go to /dev/null, or is there any way I can get them back?? Have any other smeserver user done such stupid things before, and solved it?
