« on: January 03, 2005, 09:08:39 AM »
Hi out there
I am a bit newbie to SME and its mail & webmail services - can somebody give me some tip about how to implement a generel spam-filter for qmail on SME or if it is possibly to create a whitelist for qmail pr. user. I have a SME server here at home where I have one of my friends email hosted. He get his email forwarded to an external account - is it possibly to put a "whitelist" on this account ?? I have tried to use webmin to look at the config for qmail and spamassign but I don't dare to modify the config because of am not sure which influence it has on the e-smith part of the system. Some out there which has succeded in creating a reasonable spam-filter??

check the How-To section for installation of spam assassin. Also, a forum search on "spamassasssin" and variations will bring up a lot of info.

There is an auto update script available as well. Not yet an official item but very useful. It includes installation of SpamAssassin. Here is the link:

Hope this helps.
