Error when applying FTP settings
« on: October 20, 2004, 10:50:08 AM »
Hi,
I just installed SMEserver 6.0.1. I want to set up an FTP-server for access from the internet. When I go into Security/Remote Access and set Allow public access (Entire internet) and  Accept passwords from anywhere and click Save, I get this error:
Operation status report
Error occurred while updating system configuration.

Have anyone else seen this?

I've recently installed SMEserver 6.0.1 on four different boxes, and get the same error on all of them. The strange thing is that everything works as it should afterwards, I can ftp to the boxes from the internet.

But the error message when applying these settings still remains......

I applly the settings on a clean install, so previous suggestions about patches and so on doesn't apply.

Please report your problem in the Bug tracker. When you do, look back through all the /var/log/httpd/admin_error_log* log files - the details of the error will likely be recorded there.

After adding an IP to the remote management network and clicking on save...I get the failure box in server-manager and the following lines in my admin error log

Is this something that still needs to be reported? I thought I saw threads a while back to disregard the formMagic errors.

Anything which doesn't work correctly should be reported.
