Shadowfactor software (friends of mine & the people that wrote Battlecom) doesn't exist anymore - they were purchased by Microsoft about 1.5 years ago, and have discontinued support for the Battlecom software. Their website,
http://www.shadowfactor.com now points to Microsoft's GameVoice website (
http://www.gamevoice.com). Gamevoice is similar to Battlecom, but includes a little USB hardware device that allows you to switch channels back and forth.
Anyhow, the Shadowfactor website used to have documentation about the various ports you would need to open up/forward to use BattleCom across a firewall. This info is no longer posted on the Shadowfactor site, but the Gamevoice site has something similar:
http://www.gamevoice.com/Support/support.asp?Page=39&Product=1&Parent=33This info may or may not be applicable, depending on how much they've altered the original Battlecom software since it became Gamevoice. I'm not sure to what extent Microsoft still supports Battlecom, but you can try posting in the Gamevoice message forums.
You may also need to look at the Port Forwarding HOWTO in the contributed HOWTOs section of e-smith.org.
A word of caution: This will involve opening ports up on your e-smith server, which may be a security risk.
