Topic: migration of SMEM to a new server - what to remember ?

Hi!

I am moving ALL on my old server to a new one
i have don this :
installed the new server (sme 6.0)
installed tools (updates, contribs etc.)
via rsync copyed the following things :
/home/e-smith/*
/home/netlogon/*
/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/*
/etc/e-smith/templates-user-custom/*
/etc/group
/etc/gshadow
/etc/passwd
/etc/shadow
/etc/smbpasswd
/etc/ssh/*
/opt/*
/root/*
/var/lib/mysql/*

Is there any thing else i should remember ???

when you are done copying, run

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot

this causes the server to rebuild itself.

I would leave the old server around for at least a week to make sure you didn't forget anything.

You also need to copy:

/etc/samba/* = this holds all the details of any computers you have added to the domain etc.
