Got a pretty good clean install of v6.0.01-01 + updates via the smeplus.sh script.
Had various MySQL databases and CMS sites running with XOOPS, PHP, MySQL and Apache, doing a 911 backup on a daily basis.
Everything is nice but running under VMware v5.0 Beta so Ghost or any other imaging utility is futile to move into a physical machine or VMware 4.5.2.
So a clean install was my direction.
I tried restoring a new install + updated contribs and everything worked fine except that now :
phpmyadmin refuses to connect saying that "access denied for user : 'root@localhost' *using password: YES).
so far is the only problem that I noticed beside SME6ADMIN disapeared from the panel and my CMS sites refuses to work since I changed the domain and host name for testing purposes but that is another story.
So far, backup2ws worked as designed but I'm stuck with unavalable databases.
Any hints ?
Why VMware, because my RAID card : Promise SX4000Lite IDE RAID Card is not recognized nor any drivers available for SME/RH7.3, so 4x200Gb RAID 5 under Windows 2003 Enterprise Server and my SME runs under VMware and it is my FW, web, CMS and jack of all trades system.
If Promise or anybody else has drivers for my card then I would have flushed Windoze a long time ago.
By the way , v6.5Beta1 is in par with which RH version 8 or 9 or still and ancient RH7.3. If 8 or 9 I would be able to switch to SME.
