Topic: Asterisk Management Portal (AMP) on SME

Anyone successfully installed Asterisk Management Portal (AMP) on SME? It seems to be a LAMP based application from the various documentation but requried quite a fair bit of additional rpms.

Can share the experience?

With this I think will make the Asterisk-SME contrib a powerful server for VOIP application.

Certainly looks interesting. Building a package from source will most likely cut the need for some of the dependancies - it looks like some of the stuff is required for building asterisk itself - however we already have a working asterisk package.

I reckon I will have a go with the prospect of building some easy to install rpms.

I go into the "never never" tommorow for four days - so it will take me awhile to get to it.

Tried Asterisk@HOME last night, wasn't successful in the installation as during start up, it freezes. Will try again tonight.

It's based CentOS 3.3 and my feel is it's way too heavy as compared to SME.

I would still like to see AMP on SME. I guess that's why I posted this on Contribs.org in the first place...simply like SME...
