Hi,

I've read the manual and FAQ, but can't find out how to create mail+web accounts.

Under "E-mail" in the configuration menu, i can only set up the general settings.

I want to have about 20 domains on my SME server.

I'm running SME 6.5 beta2

Please help

If i have 20 domains, and create a user, how do i know which domain the user is created under?

Ex.

domain1.com
domain2.com
domain3.com
etc..

If i want to create blah@domain3.com
How do i do?

User accounts are common on the sme server and apply to all domains. By default mail sent to user1@yourdomain2.com or user1@yourdomain3.com will go to user1@yourmaindomain.com

That's good, now you need to learn to search.
The magic search word is aliases.

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/rmitchell/smeserver/howto/virtual%20domain%20email%20aliases%20HOWTO%20for%20sme%20server.htm

There is another contrib rpm that may also be useful to limit where email can go to ie allowed for some users to some domains but not to others. You will still need to implement the steps outlined in the HOWTO as well.

Thx for your reply Ray  :-)

I'v installed "e-smith-domain_mail_user-0.4-1.noarch.rpm"

I can now create emails for each domain.

Another thing i was you wondering..
What if i want to create 2 users with the same name? Ie admin.. heh

It puzzles me at times.
You give people good advice and they don't even bother reading or absorbing it !!

"e-smith-domain_mail_user-0.4-1.noarch.rpm
....restrict email user on one or more domain."

That rpm you is earlier than the one I referred you to.
dungog-mailblocking-1.0-4.noarch.rpm has more features, including blocking of mail to non existent accounts.

To cater for users with the same name read the "aliases" HOWTO !

You still need to carry out the steps outlined in the HOWTO to have
user1@domain1
user1@domain2
user1@domain3
etc etc
