Fedora Core 2 and 3 install problems
« on: February 11, 2005, 01:25:35 AM »
I have a DELL server onto which I am trying to install Fedora Core 3, which didn't work, so I tried Core 2 with the same result. Basically while installing the packages it stops when installing the zlib-1.2.1 package with an error message to the effect of a corrupt package or bad media, etc, and the whole process has to be aborted. I know my ISO image is good from md5sum and the CDs are fine because I tried burning 2 copies of disc1, both resulting in the same error at zlib.
Does anyone have any idea what this can be?

Thanks,
Tom
