Some of our users are members of a Yahoo Groups mailing list, which they need for information. This was a real pain when I first set our SME box up (v 6.0.1) using multidrop because of addressing, but now we're running SMTP it *has* been ok...
Until now. In the last few months none of the emails have been coming through and recently we have received an email from the Yahoo group saying that emails are bouncing and we need to re-activate the email account.
Looking at the Yahoo account page, it gives you the last bounce message:
Remote host said: 550 relay not permitted [RCPT_TO]
Now I can only guess that Yahoo have changed their mail software and the SME server thinks its trying to relay mail instead of deliver it, as this used to work fine with no extra setup.
But the problem does need sorting - any ideas? I was thinking maybe I could add something to the qmail rcpthosts (or whatever the file is) to allow yahoogroups.com to send email, or is there a better option?
