I've got an SME server that's been running a pre-release of v6 (6.0u I think) that's been doing OK, but it's time to upgrade.
I'd like to backup to desktop (after a recovery from tape, I'd prefer to avoid EVER having to do that again) but every time I try the load jumps to above 20, the machine gets unresponsive, and the connection times out.
The connection times out even when connecting via Lynx on localhost.
Anyway, I'd like to create the .tgz file and then use samba to back it up so I can move to v6.01-01 plus some upgrades.
Anyone know how I can do this?
(Just FYI it's an Athlon 1800, 512M ram, 2 IDE drives using SME's software RAID).
