I have a strange problem. I run SME server that also acts as a gateway to the internet, then on the internal network I have to run MS Exchange 2000 (for mailbox sharing etc etc).
Now the problem comes when I send a email to a no-excisting domain, exchange hands the mail successflully to sme, which in turn tries to send the mail to the domain, if it fails SME tries to send the mail back to the Exchange server (the bounce) but exchange rejects it saying the "Invalid Address"
The problem seems that the "Return-Path" is empty and Exchange does not like this.
How can I make SME insert a return-path when it sends the bounce?
Below is an extract of the msg.
Hope someone can help.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at netconnect.co.za.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
