webmail + simplified chinese
« on: March 03, 2005, 01:57:32 PM »
Hi,

When I log into the webmail after selecting simplified chinese as the language, it just displays as if I hadn't change the language at all.

Am I missing something?

Max.

I tried this with Horde 2.2.5 (IMP 3.2.3) and when selecting simplified Chinese the screen refreshes and the text appears in Chinese.

I don't have a standard 6.0.1 install running at the moment to check it.

I have horde-2.2.1-1es00 and, I think I am still on 6.0 (not totally sure how to upgrade).

I assume you are saying I should upgrade to SME 6.0.1 and Horde 2.2.5?

I'm not saying that upgrading will cure it - just that it may be one factor.

If you can wait I can check a standard 6.0 install. It may be something else that is wrong.

I can wait.

I am not sure how to upgrade from 6.0 to 6.0.1 anyway. I'm not using webmail at the moment anyway.

Let me know.

Thanks.

Max.

It is not the version of SME Server see:

I am guessing that it is a PC problem - I presume that you can see Chinese text on the PC?

Ah. There's a misunderstanding.

Yes, my login screen changes to Chinese, but I'm talking about *after* logging in. The web pages that display the email messages are all in English.

Ah...I see. There is another option in the preferences once you log in. Well, that's just dumb, IMO.

Well, at least it works, and is easy, now I know.

Thanks for your help :)

Max.
