Question How do I change my smpt port to 26?
« on: March 08, 2005, 03:59:15 PM »
Hi all,

I have found some similar questions (big pon blocking port 25). Just not to sure about the solutions.

My situation:
New ISP seems to block incoming TCP port 25. I control dns entries myself.
I have a friend who is willing to let me use his server as a relay for incomming mail. His port 25 incoming is not blocked. He says he can forward any mail to me on port 26.... or any other I want.
I have Swert Knudsen's spamassasin installed.

My question:
What is the procedure so my server listens to port 26 for incoming mail?
How do I undo this if for some reason it doesn't work?

Any help you can give me is very much appreciated.

Regards,

Jan

Sorry, it seems another thread allready existed that focusses on this issue. Kind of anyway see:

Portforward port 25 to localhost:26. If that doesn't work, open a bug report.
