Topic: Open a port in SME

Hi

I need to open a port in the SME server so that it receives information from a phone power station. This port should always be open receiving those data.  
 
Doesn't one eat to make to open the port and like I should see the information that captures or where it should be stored it stops then to process it that should make?

You don't just need to open a port, some service needs to be using that port as well.  Example.  You open up port 80 AND apache webserver is the service that listens to that port.
