Putting a community team together

I'm posting a copy of what went out on the rebuild list, looking for input.

Okay folks,

As we wait for the last emails about legal issues to get to me, I think we should begin to move forward and start creating structure for the core community team.

Running through the list and forums there have been a number of recommendations. I envision a bit of a Debian like structure . . . with adjustments for size.

I believe we have enough people on this list now to make a fair representation of the community. I would like to hammer out the structure for the team through this list over today and through the weekend, post the team structure on Monday, along with Nominated members for the positions in a poll. We might need to use another piece of software for the poll, as I would like it to be able to handle "write-ins" also. I'd like to run the poll for just one week.

So here is the stickler . . . this is for contribs.org and the stuff that goes on there only. We are going to assume that all core SME dev occurs at SF, and we are concerned with the community, documentation and contribs, so as we speak about structure lets please keep that in mind. Eventually it would be great to bring core dev from SF to contribs, but that is down the road and a bit outside of what we are doing now IMO.

Somebody want to start us out. Now is the time for those who have been saying we either haven't been moving or that they have had no way to contribute.  :-)

Thanks
