if there are any panel writers out there, can they take pity on me and do a quick mode to the AV panel in SME 6.5 ?

I want tick boxes by each entry in the 'Current list of problem messages' table, with two buttons at the end of the table, one for DELETE and one for DELIVER. Then, rather than having to hit Delete or Deliver for each entry in the table, i could quickly tick the ones i want and either delete them all or deliver them all.

At the moment, if something happens to the server, mail stays in the queues. I then have to click Deliver or Remove for each mail in turn. I have over 1000 today after a recent crash and could do with being able to tick each one i want delivered and just to hit deliver.

Any takers?

My AV panel (Jespers) in 6.0 has a link for Deliver All and Remove All at the top of the columns, (as well as individual Deliver and Remove links for each message). Won't they do the job you want.

As you have 6.5, just enable pattern matching and you won't get most of the virus infected messages anymore as they will (nearly) all be rejected.

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtpfront-qmail Patterns enabled

If you wish to enable pattern matching on the secure interface do the following command.

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop ssmtpfront-qmail Patterns enabled

Then configure the file types to be blocked in the Server Manager Email panel and Save.

yeah, thats not really the issue. the deliver all and remove all do just that, but if i have 1000 emails there, and i want to deliver 250 which are spread about i have to click Deliver and wait for it to action 250 TIMES!!! EEEEKKK.

It would be good if each entry had a tick box (ala Hotmail inbox style) and then you could select 250 items, hit Deliver and wait. Rather clicking and than waiting 250 times.

The reason why this happens is that the server (for reasons only it knows) kills clamd at random times of the day. When this happens mails sit in the queue until someone restarts the box. If you "deliver all" emails int the queue it seems to skip going through spamassassin and people just get 75% junk mail.

Hi Olly,
Your suggestion has merit but i think you need to fix your server as this will solve your problem.
I am sure someone here would be willing to help you if you provide more details.

If you take Rays advice, clam will have very little to do and therefore might not fall over.
