Topic: problems with mrtg (?) + other contribs with 6.0.1.01

In case this is not the right forum, please somebody recommend another forum to me.

situation is a new install of 6.0.1.01, plus
1) http://www.schirrms.net ,fetchmail
2) http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk , spamfilter
3) http://www.vanhees.cc , crontab
4) http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk , mrtg
5) http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk , virus

everything worked fine ( after some tweaking ), and also mrtg worked. Suddenly, after appx 2 weeks right after calling the mrtg (/myserver/mrtg). No more mail-collection. /etc/startmail give "unknown user "fm%ghost1" ". There is no such user but a ghost account named "ghost1".

On a test machine I had a similar problem-but problems were so complicted that I cannot clearly track down what happened. Any advice which add-on could be the culprit ? more questions on my set-up are welcome.

I am fed up with spam and want to bring the box into a production environmen. This server ( spam + virus filter) shall collect em via another sme-firewall, and then a win mailserver will collect em from this machine.

any advices ?

Don't know about your problem but read about the various techniques to stop spam & viruses in this post. Used collectively you end up getting almost no viruses and very litle spam.
