Topic: Boot error after installation

Hi there everyone!

I installed SME server today. When I do the reboot after installation the screen freezes and only shows L. Is this Lilo trying to boot? Any ideas on how I can solve this. I have also tried another hard drive and it booted up with 02 repeating itself. (I think that hard drive is a big problem)

Any tips will be appr. Going to wipe all partitions now and try another install

Yes - LILO is trying to tell you something.
I had the same type of mishap a couple of years back when I tried to install on a disc formerly used under Windows.

Thanks for the help! What I did to resolve it is booted up with my bootable cd, fdisked and removed all partitions.

Thought that linux wipes them all with a new installation?

But got it running. Blonde moment I guess.
