SME's broadcast domain?
« on: April 09, 2005, 03:09:53 AM »
I have an SME server running in server mode behind a linksys router.  The base issue is, I have users who connected to the SME server via VPN.  They are given an IP address and local users can communicate with them via IP.  My remote users can can communicate with my servers via computer name, but local users cannot communicate with remote users via computer name.
My router uses DHCP to assign ip information to my local users.  This gives my local users a DNS server of that of my ISP.  I assume my local users can communicate with my server because they are in the same broadcast domain, but my Remote users are on the other side of my SME server and not(?) in the same broadcast domain.
I know this email is confusing, but basically, my local users can not communicate with remote users via computer name.
Any Ideas?
