Hello all.

Some questions and issues for improve horde.

1) What is a VFolder? Yes, I know, but how to implement and what is the real benefits.

2) What is a ShareFolder? And how to implement?

3) Horde support the new features of MySQL 4.1.X (Improved) But php extension of mysqli is only for PHP ver 5.

4) Aspell don't work for HTML mails. Aspell need to upgrade (5.0 or better)

5) HTML inline don't work 100%. I receive html mails ok, but if I send me a html email from the same horde, and "backgrounded" the text with some color, when receive I don't see the color, only if I hit "View HTML in separate window..."

6) Freebusy url: I don't understand very good this issue and how to use. I set my FB url in my address and when I add "attendees" me itself run ok, but when I logued with other user name and add "attendees" the previous account, say "Error retrieving free/busy information for webmaster@printingroup.com.ar: No freebusyUrl entry found for webmaster@printingroup.com.ar". Maybe share with permissions my calendars or address book? Anyway more simple to setup this, because  it's complicated for a common user? A mini howto please.?

7) I install TREAN (bookmarks) and work perfectly.

I customize all prefs.php for all modules for my needs. Then I empty horde DB table prefs. When a user, or a new user logued into webmail, the defaults (set previously in prefs.php files) apply (customized).

9) Is there a good script (/horde/po/translation.php - Read the readme in the same directory) that need GETTEXT. I have downloaded and compiled. but is better if as a part of PHP (--with-gettext). Any can make this? Ergin? :=)

10) I don't know if it's a bug, but when I set in webmail options "Show the Fetch Mail icon on the menubar?" I see the icon, but with the text "Identity". In the file /horde/imp/lib/IMP.php line 910 and 912 replace Acc_ounts to "Fetch Mail" and you see now the icon say "Fetch Mail"

11) There is a lot of goods setings in horde mime_drivers.php. I experiment with some and run ok (word, excell, powerpoint). But I want to use webcpp instead of enscript but I can't. I have compiled and installed webcpp, but horde force use enscript. Yes, I set webcpp to true, and try with unregister enscript, but not succesfully.

I don't understand why say this. Horde is part of SME, and all my post is refer to improve the webmail that YOU use later.
I know WHERE I post.

Maybe give SME 7.0a7 a try - it has Horde 3 now.  If there are some changes you feel would be beneficial to that version then please make the suggestions of exactly what changes you would make.  If you want rpm's added (like trean, kronolith, etc,) you might have to roll up your sleeves and try making them.

As for #5 html (inline) email is by default turned off in Horde (as it was in the Horde2 on SME).  I can only speculate that it is either for security purposes or for performance reasons.  But you can enable inline html by changing:
$mime_drivers['horde']['html']['inline'] = false;
to
$mime_drivers['horde']['html']['inline'] = true;

I don't know wether this is relevant in your case, but I just found some very interesting behaivour from Horde today:

One of our users complained that he couldn't login to "webmail". I assumed he did something wrong and printed out the internal HowTo we have set up for new users.

Well, this guy came back to me and insisted he didn't do anything wrong, so I decided to walk over to him for a clooser look.

He was right, - Horde simply refused to  let him in!

I decided to (just for a test!) CHANGE his password to "qwerty" and asked him to give Horde a new try, - and this time it worked.

So, I let him change back to his old password again and Horde refused to let him in

I asked him if he used any "strange characters" in his password, and the only "strange" seems to be the character "&"

It seems that Horde (SME 6.01) cannot handle password with "&" in, - is this previously known and is there any fix available?????

Take it easy!
Charlie is completelly right, Horde 2.0 is part of SME 6.0.1 and any improvements beyond that version needs to come from you. You should ask for help at Horde.org and not here. After you get what you want, then contribute to this project. Horde 3.0 still does not fully "speak" spanish, so try before upgrading.
