Topic: How can I block various web downloads

I am trying to stop students downloading files eg MP3 files from the internet. In custom bans and exceptions, I have blocked the download of several file types including MP3 through File Categories, however students are still being able to download these.

Can anyone please advise me on other steps I can take.

Have you had a look at Dansguardian ... http://www.dungog.net/dansguardian.php ... It is supposed to be really good for that sort of stuff.

To get the server-manager interface you have to purchase a license though.
