Topic: I Love SME

Hi All,
Just wanted to spread some SME love and joy before the weekend.

Since installation, my SME box has been running fairly solidly for, oh, 4 months now with nary a reboot (well once, but that was because my neighborhood had a blackout). The more it runs, and does what I expect it to do, the more I realise what a great product it is, and what an even greater community there is behind it. Hardly being the 'dead' community the people at ClarkConnect said contribs was, everyone here has been really spot on. People ask questions, people get answers. Sure, there are the occasional spats and disagreements, but largely everyone is respectful. I suppose its easy to, when you have a product like SME behind you. It does what its supposed to, and with great developers around, its getting better!

No this rant has nothing to do with the wine glass in my hand! I really just wanted to send out some positive vibes before the weekend, and again say thank you for the people who make SME, and contribs.org possible.

To SME team and contrib people,

I have been using SME server since 5.6 and have not looked back, I am the first to say i not a guru at linux but since i have been running SME it have help to improve my skills in linux. (throw myself in the deep end and hope not to drown ) So I have been grateful for this product as it has been forgiving to my mistakes and given me a chance to fix them with out crashing and forcing to do a reinstall.

Oh there was one time where i did stuff it up and after reboot it did not fully come online and had to pull out the Knoppix cd and deleted a bootup process i had set wrong.  

Anyway keep up the great work

Just to add my 2 cents -

I've been using SME since it was E-Smith 5 and the more I learn about it the more I love it. Just today I was telling friends about what it can do and 3 of them bought domain names and want me to set up some of their old computers to play with.
