help with removing sme-recyclebin-1.0-1 please
« on: May 13, 2005, 06:52:25 AM »
I have a problem with sme-recyclebin-1.0-1.  Was installed on a server, and had to be removed because it kept being filled-up each time users deleted large files - disk free space was becoming a serious issue.  So I removed it (rpm -e) and also removed the the .recyclebin directory associated with the ibay.   The problem is, it keeps coming back.  Each time a file is deleted, a new .recyclebin directory is created in the ibay...  I have done a rpm -qa to check, the contrib is uninstalled OK.  Beats me.  Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

If it does not work out of the box, please fill in a Bug Report @ Bugzilla (http://bugs.contribs.org)  - check: http://wiki.contribs.org/Bugzilla_Help .  Thanks.

You need to regenerate configuration files without the recyclebin stuff.

Use the big hammer (to be sure, to be sure):

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot

Thanks Charlie.  Done this yesterday, and the problem still exists, a recyclebin was created again early this morning...
