Hi

I am using SME 7.0 alpha 5..

When i use e-smith-manager to set password access to an ibay i note no errors but when i access the ibay from the internet or local my network the password is requested but no access is given when entered correctly.

The server is in server only mode does this effect this function?

That was about 8 alpha versions ago, try again with the latest.

Any ideas may help.

Moreover, please provide all 7.0alpha feedback via the bug tracker at smeserver.sourceforge.net.

Hey Duckie,
just as a double check.
You used <ibay name> as user? With the <ibay password>, that you entered in server-manager? Common problem is to try to use <server users> as the log-in name.

Thank you for the reply Joe.

I tried to use the ibay name with the password i set in the emith manager. I note the same issue.

I am searching the logs to see if i can see why the password fails. The popup request for user name and password work. I am thinking maybe the password is not updating somewhere.

Any ideas.

I do not wish to go to SF and log a bug i am a member at contribs.org. I want to fix the issue so i can continue with my testing. The idea of having a forum is to discuss issues and find fix's or work arounds. If i was able to upgrade to the new version that "might not" have this issue, i would.

I am committed to the test at hand can not start over.
Please do not reply to my posts unless you are giving ideas that might help. Your bug tracker directions are tiring.
