Topic: external ip address

hello..

my server seems to think thats its external ip address is 192.168.65.17.

i have only 1 nic , eth0 10.7.7.10

i found this file:

/etc/e-smith/db/configuration/defaults/ExternalIP/type

has a value of 192.168.65.17, should i be looking anyhere else?

log in as admin and select Configure this server.

u mean:

/sbin/e-smith/console and then go configure this server?

i have done that, i only have one nic so my server is setup as "server only"

where would that config be then?

please forgive my ignorance,

this is my confusion, i only setup the server only mode with 1 ip address, where would the other one come from?

could it be somewhere in the config db?

found what i was looking for in the config db

ExternalIP=192.168.65.17
ExternalNetmask=255.255.255.0

cannot see why that would be there, but thats where it seems to be reading it from
