I am suddenly having trouble with my sme server version 6.01. The server will stop accepting incoming SSH connections, the server manager fails to load, and the server becomes unresponsive and forces me to reboot. This happens several times throughout the day. One of the log files said the memory was too low and had to kill procmail.
I started monitoring the memory usage with the "top" command and sort by memory usage. I watched as the user "mailer" using the command "procmail" ascend to the top of the list and the memory used by mailer soared over 80% of available system memory causing my server to stop responding.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
