I did a search through this site, but it only came up with out of date results from the very old e-smith site, which where dead ends.

All I am trying to do is use frontpage to publish to a remote ISP server. I assume it's a problem with squid? any ideas?

do you have access to the ftp site? if so, make sure you have write access. if so, then it should work.

I can publish to the ISP fine from a direct connection to the router (Have gone a multihomed SME). I thas to be something to do with the Proxy server...?

I have tried adding the proxy settings to IE which in turn tell Frontpage to use the proxy.

Any help with this would be most welcome.

Just to fill you in,

Frontpage (I can't believe I'm supporting this) uses http on port 80. And it can be run through a proxy. I'm not sure what your particular problem is, but I know it is possible to run it through a proxy server because we have a user at work that I support and she is able to run it through the proxy to an external ISP. I'm not sure which part of the proxy config effects this.

Probably doesn't help much, but might give you a bit of direction.

Frontpage is great for the smaller business, as they can keep their site up to date easily, without knowing all about ftp etc.

Problem is this chap uses it to update his own personal site, weird part of it all is that I can publish to it via an MS ISA server, but when it comes to publishing via SME it fails.

Perhaps I should just rebuild his SME box, and take it from there.
