Hi,
Gotta say I love the e-smith box!!! I'm just about getting my head round the OS, but I work in a M$ dominated envirnoment, so learnig time is at a premium

Anyway, to the point, I have a DHCP cable connection to my server, but just recently the connection drops at the fault of my provider ( or did my IP address get changed, didn't check that actually )
Is there a way of configuring the e-smith to automatically (or manualy) attempt to restore my connection via a RAS connection should the server loose its cable connectivity ? Also, can I release my DHCP address on the fly without a reboot ?
My second question is this. How does e-smith resolve DNS names ? does it use the default gateway for name resolution ? Is there a way (I'm sure there is) I can view the DNS server addresses ?
Many thanks
Jay
