SME Server based software/appliances
« on: June 21, 2005, 01:21:20 PM »
Hi all,

I wonder how many SME Server based/customized software/appliances are out there?

Here are some SME Server based software/appliances I know of:
# Mitel 6000 MAS - Managed Application Server (software)
# Mitel 6040 OSS - Office Server Suite (software)
# MKC 7000 CS - Communications Server (software)
# MKC 7000 ICS - Integrated Communications Server (appliance)
# Free-EOS - Espace Ouvert de Services (software by french developpers)
# SMERP Server - Solution Open Source pour l'Entreprise (software by french developpers)
# Synaptic Office Server (software)
# Kirux Kuadra Enterprise Server (software)
# Linuxon Web and Email Server (software and appliances)

Perhaps these ones are SME Server based? Go figure...
# Mobilize.net Strategy Server (appliances)
# NETPRO Servers (appliances)
# BlackBox File Server (appliances)

Do you know any other SME Server based software/appliances?

And by the way, are all of them GPL and Mitel copyright compliant?

Here is another SME Server based appliance I discover:

# ServeIT Business Server (appliance)

Again:

1) Do you know any other SME Server based software/appliances? If so, please post it in here.

2) Do they all are GPL and/or Mitel copyright compliant?

Boris,

YES Linux used to be based on SME Server 5.x (YES 1.x).
The currently releases (YES 2.x) are RH9 based (without the SME templating system).

You can see for yourself in here:
