Topic: new installation

Hi,

I'm new to sme server. I'm looking forward to testing it out.

I having an install problem. Upon the install sme gives a message that it can't find any hds. Here are the server specs. This is true with SME 6.01 and 6.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No Monitor Option

C3,Motherboard SATA, RAID 1 2HDD, CBL, PESC420

I believe 6.x doesn't support any SATA drives.  You will have to wait for 7.0 for that.

thanks, yeah, I been searching the forums I see that. This really sucks I bought a new server to use with this software. I think I jumped the gun a little. Never even thought the HD specs would matter.

I just tried to install ver. 7.0 21 alpha. It installed. But upon re-boot the system boots to dells open manage systems program.

If anyone has any thoughts please let me know. I think I'm missing something here.
