Topic: SME server in DMZ. Does not send emails to other domains

Hi all,
Server only mode (I already have a SonicWall firewall).
Placing the SME server on the DMZ port it stops sending emails to external domains. Seems like it only accepts delivering emails for it's own domain. "this domain isnt in my list of rccpt host".

Placing it on the private lan (and doing a nat with a public IP) everything's OK.

Any idea/suggestion?

Hint: DO NOT put a server in "Server Only" mode in a DMZ, that configuration is not secure.

Change it to "Server/Gateway" mode before connecting to a DMZ.

Depending on you exact configuration, you may need to disable SMTP transparent proxy to get it working properly.

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtpfront-qmail Proxy disabled
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event remoteaccess-update

But first, do a search on "SMTP transparent proxy" as this subject has been discussed many times.
