MulitLink ADSL ?
« on: August 08, 2005, 01:37:48 AM »
OK, I have searched the forums here for Multi-Link ADSL and ADSL aggregation, both with no success.  I have spent hours on Google searching the subject also, but i am at a loss.  The best i can manage is something called "sch_teql".

# modprobe -l | grep eql
/lib/modules/2.4.20-18.7/kernel/drivers/net/eql.o
/lib/modules/2.4.20-18.7/kernel/net/sched/sch_teql.o

So obviously the modules exist, now it is just a matter of trying to get it working.  I have 2 identical 1500/256 ADSL connections to our ISP, 2 phone lines, 2 modems and 2 accounts.  I am just wondering if anyone else has embarked on such a task?  If so, can SME handle it or should i just move to another universal distro?  I have used SME for years (since ver. 4.12) and i like its configuration and simplicity.

Please help,

Troy.

Anything that can be done with RedHat can be done with SME. SME just doesn't have anything which automatically generates the configuration you need for MultiLink DSL. If it can be done with RH 7.3, it can be done with SME. You'll just need to set up the configs yourself.

Bugger, i was afraid of that.  I was hoping for some guidence as i don't really want to destroy my current config.  Well, I'm off to install SME on another PC for some tinkering....
