changing the everyone@domain address

Hello everyone.

Currently running SME Server 6.0.1-01

And I have an account which is specifically setup to forward to an external address.

This works fine, until an email is sent internally to the everyone@domain address, as this gets forwarded out when it is recieved by this account.

I do realise that it is doing the job fine and it works great, but I wish to stop the external address recieveing the everyone@domain addresses, any way I can take one account out from the everyone psudonym?

Thanks

Cy

I had the same issue. I created another group and put everyone in it that I wanted to receive email intended for "everyone". I told everyone to stop using everyone@domain.com and use the new address. It has worked fine for a few years now.

Not exactly what you were looking for but it is an easy solution.

Yeah might have to do that, problem is that some people will still use the everyone address, might do some searching on how to disable it, I think there was a thread on running a command at a prompt to re-route the everyone address to admin, off to search, thanks,
