Topic: mapping the home directory

Hi Guys,
I have a 6.5 server set up as a domain controller. It appears that each user account is mapped to their home folder when they log on. I don't want it to do that. I only want it to map the drives from the logon.bat file. How can I make it stop mapping the h-drive?

How are you modifying the netlogon.bat today? The same templates that allow you to modify it, have the information you're looking for
/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/smb.conf/*.*

I'm having problems finding the template file you're talking about. Is that the correct path in version 6.5Rc1 ???  The logon batch file I just copied to \\servername\netlogon\    It seemed to work fine for mapping the shares I want users to have. I don't want any of them to have a private folder on the server. This server is going to be file and print only in an office of 6 users thats already behind a firewall.

You knew exactly what I needed to do. You had the path exactly right. I must have been reading it all cross eyed or something!    Anyhow its all fixed up and working perfectly now. Thank you very much for your help.

I haven't played with 6.5RC yet (awating on 7 final), but I didn't think the distribution and templates changed that much.
For a minute I got myself confused too!

I've been tinkering with linux servers and firewalls for onlu a short time. Round here we went from netware to windows and now linux. You gotta like a server you can load in 10 minutes and configure in another 10.
