Programs not showing up on network authenticated users.
« on: August 09, 2005, 01:19:06 PM »
Hi,

I installed an SME server as PDC with all machines authenticated to it. But when a user logs in, the software originally installed for that machine is not showing up in the Applications Menu.

SME is Domain controller, but no roaming profiles.

I installed software on machines using local admin account.

Please help, urgent.

Your problem is a workstation (I assume Windows) issue, this is a Linux forum !
I suggest you look at the User profiles as the local users have different profiles to the domain users.
You need to install all apps to be accessible to all users generally done when logged in as Administrator or as a user with Administrator privileges.
You woudl also initially need to configure the Default User profile to include shortcuts and/or add them to the "All Users" user under Documents and Settings.

I suggest you have a good read of the Windows help files and post your Windows questions to Windows user forums.
