Hi all,
I am running SME 6.5 and I have just got Roaming profiles up and running on all the machines on the network. Unfortunately I have encountered a snag with outlook and would like some advice.
I can login to my main computer (the one is set up my email on), everything is fine, I can load outlook and check and send e-mails etc, but when I log into another computer Outlook complains that the PST file/s are missing from the default location. This is in 'C:\Documents and Settings\username.DOMAINNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook' Somewhere along the folder tree the path is hidden (local settings) and this does not seem to be transfered into the profile stored on the server. Is it because this folder is hidden?
To move it is obviously not a huge problem but I dont really want to do this for everyones email. This leads me to another question, Is it possible to run a batch file for new users that will create an outlook mail account (IMAP) when they first log in? I would like to be able to setup profiles that contain preconfigured settings for Outlook I have read in posts on this forum that it is possible to create a default profile and store it in the netlogon share, could I configure outlook in this default share using something like %username% for the user name and a default password?
Any help would be greatly received
Thanks
James
