Topic: Cannot access thread

I received an email saying there was a post added to a thread I had previously posted to. When I access the link provided, the message I get is "The topic or post you requested does not exist"

Any contribs.org support person know why, has the database changed or something ?
I think I saw this happen before when a user was deleted from the system (ie all posts disappeared).
I don't know if that is connected at all.
