I had the same problem on my test box last night. I cannot set up a local printer on SME 7.0b2.

I tried to create a sourceforge account to put it on the bugtracker but could not seem to create an account.

Thanks Jeff. I reported it last week and there is a workaround and a patch has been aplied to the development code. I've marked your bug as a duplicate of mine.

Please, everyone. The bug tracker on SourceForce is the only place to report bugs. Our development resources are limited - please help us to help everyone by reporting bugs there and there only.

A common problem with creating SourceForge accounts is not putting a valid e-mail address in the request. If your e-mail address isn't valid, you won't get the cookie to finish creating the account.

There is a workaround in the bug tracker which works well, I can print to my freshly networked printer.
