I'm currently running 6.0.1 and am needing to change some permissions to the ibays...
The options in server-admin are not flexible enough for my needs...
I have read the answer of Charlie in the mailing list, too and only want to add, that Novell has an extremly fine tuned ACL model for over 10 years now included in NetWare:
You can have as many groups as you want, users can become members of as many groups, and either users or groups can get these trustee assignments for files and/or directories:
R = Read
F = File Scan (list files with DIR, Explorer, etc.)
C = Create
E = Erase
W = Write
M = Modify (attributes)
A = Access control (where they can grant access to these files and directories to other users)
S = Supervisery flag to include all of these flags at once.
I know, that NetWare is not open source or free, and you will have to learn a lot, but there is an Open Enterprise Server with either NetWare kernel or a Linux kernel (from Suse Linux Enterprise Server).
The NSS file system is build on top and offers these features (and more).
Sorry for being off-topic.
