If you look closely you´ll see several "google" feature on it: labels/tags for example, first line of message,...

Anyone wish to try it on SME ?

I agree it don´t have task ,project or document management but if everyone could learn from "glorified webmail" more people could use webmail.
Don´t have you listen comments about all webmail have no support to drag´n drop ?

I actually installed zimbra on sme7b2, and it failed miserably (as I expected).
Zimbra includes all it's daemons in the package which try to run on default ports, etc.
My guess is the first problem is resolving all the conflicts with SME's installed daemons.
(And after shutting all those down, it still wouldn't do much...)

I'm talking about the application, if you download the Flash Demo as you suggest, you missed the feeling. It's way too slow, and that's what I meant when I said "heavy". You mentioned drag'n'drop on webmail, this particular app is loading entirelly via your browser and it's why it gives you that option: requires bandwidth and processing power on both ends: client and server.

...and I'm also from Brasil, we're neighbors in Poa!

Well, I like the looks, and it's interface.
It's a bit slow/heavy, most annoying was my notebook's fan going mad during the demo...

Aside from that, I believe it's possible, but it would require a lot of work. I can think of the following first steps right now:
* Checking out the configuration/optional components of the used built-in daemons and the possibility of using the daemons present.
* Creating some kind of automagical installation
* Building a server-manager interface for administration (panel)

The first would require extensive knowledge of those daemons, and would probably take up a lot of time...

I'd suggest a poll to see who are interested, both in using and in developing..
For now, I'm sticking with Open-Xchange, and I can't say I've got much time left for such a project.

I love AJAX...

Very promising I think. Yes its slow now. But if more people take advantage of it, I think its a nice direction for web interfaces in general.
