I am playing with an old server box which used to run NT. It has a P3, and an Adpatec 2001s SCSI raid card, with 4 SCSI drives.
I configured raid 5 with one hotspare.
I tried to install SME7 and it hung at the "test media" dialog. So I got the idea that it might prefer individual drives and do it's own raid, so I deleted the raid array and just left 4 separate drives on the raid card.
SME installed all the way through until it did it's first full reboot, where it ejects the CD. At that point it just hangs. Right after the CMOS post it just sits at a blank screen.
Anybody have any ideas why it won't boot? Is it confused by the SCSI card/drives, and if so, why did it get all the way through the install process. Which drive did it install on?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
