Topic: Outlook Express

I have an e-smith version 4.1.2 server and use Outlook Express version 5.5 on Windows ME workstations.  I have one POP3 account set up to check mail on an external server (which will be abandoned in a few weeks) and an IMAP account set up for my account on the e-smith server.

Periodically I receive a notice that I have new mail but when I check my folders there is no new mail there.  Sometimes it will say I have several new messages (a certain number) but the number of new messages in the folders is less than the new number of messages it says I have.

Can something cause Outlook Exress to notify me that I have new messages when I don't (or that I have more than I actually do) or is it possible that I am loosing messages?

With the billion second bug described at http://www.e-smith.org/bugs/index.php3?op=showBug&bugID=45 we had lots of weird mail display problems such as yours. If you haven't patched this yet, that could be your problem...

I did apply the patch a few weeks ago but I still experience the problem.
