Topic: Backup to destop on 6.5 RC1 --> 7.0a B8

I have a 6.5 RC1 machine that is fully functional and serving away nicely.

I came across a nice compaq 1850R with 4 18.2 GIG HDDS, dual proc and 1 GB of ram.

I used 7.0 B8 and tried to pull in an smeserver.tgz and got a gazillion errors.

Anyone know if this is possible?
Should I bother to try again?
