Hi.

After reading all I can find. I still have not found any solution on my problem.

All mails with doc and xls files dissapere. I have tried to fool it by change the extention, but it will not be fooled.
Txt and bat files are no problem.

I have checkt the firewall for content filters, but it only blocks com, exe, pif and scr files.

Have anyone had this problem?

When did your problem start ? eg with a fresh install, or just recently ie what did you change lately ?

What content filtering method are you using ?
Do you have any other applications installed that filter email content ?
Are you using the pattern matching contrib and have you configured it with more than the default settings.

Hi.

It is a fresh install, but the old server have the same problem. There is a hardware problem with the old server when it gets to hot and we dont have the root password. Therefor I intalled a new one. I do not know when the problem started. I am new at this post. I am a networktechnition.

The firewall is a D-Link. My next step is to exchange it for another one temporery. I have to wait until next weekend to try with another one.

I apologise for the poor spelling.

Are you sure that the messages content is not being blocked by the email client eg Win XP Outlook Express v6 Security settings ?

What version sme server ?

You say that you checked the firewall for content filters, but it only blocks com, exe, pif and scr files.

What content filter are you using (eg sounds like it is the pattern matching contrib) ?

Have you done any additional configuration of content filtering beyond the defaults ?

Are you using ASSP or something like that ?

Have you installed other applications on this freshly installed server ?

Was your new freshly installed server configured manually with new settings etc, or did you do a full backup & restore of the configuration & data from the old server ?

Please answer all questions if you want help !

Thanks for the time you have spent reading and trying to find out what causes my problem.

It was the content fitering in the firewall. I changed the firewall and everyting works.

I am a bit ashamed that I did not find this out earlier.

Thanks.
