backup2ws restore problem URGENT!
« on: December 26, 2005, 10:48:58 PM »
Hi Guys

I've had a hardware failure and have to reinstall from scratch.

I'm trying to restore my backup.

I've created a job exactly the same as before (basically the same as a 911 but with a few extras)

If I type FULL as the files to restore, all directories get restored (etc, opt etc...)  EXCEPT /home which of course contains all the data.

If i type:

"home/e-smith" or just "home" (without quotes) and restore to /

nothing extracts:
-------
RAR 3.10    Copyright (c) 1993-2002 Eugene Roshal    18 Dec 2002
Shareware version         Type RAR -? for help
Extracting from /mnt/backup2ws.801657/801657/801657.12.26.05.part1.rar
Extracting from /mnt/backup2ws.801657/801657/801657.12.26.05.part2.rar
All OK
-------

If I change restore to, (for /home/e-smith/)  "home/e-smith"  everything extracts to /home/e-smith/home/e-smith

---
Creating    home/e-smith/home/e-smith/files/samba
---

HOw do I get all the contents of /home/ to go into home!   Everytime i manage to get home extracting, it goes into a subdirectory within home.  If i use the default / extract to, nothing happens!

Help!!

A simple forum search on backup2ws is all you had to do to find the latest announcement:

R31 error

Hi DMay,

I'm testing R31 on SME v6.01 with the following errors:

Jan  8 02:45:59 smelnx601 e-smith[3266]: S30gentle-ldap-dump=action|Event|pre-backup2ws|Action|S30gentle-ldap-dump|Start|1136706359 699267|End|1136706359 977708|Elapsed|0.278441

Jan  8 02:46:21 smelnx601 e-smith-bg: Error occured mounting //wpfilesrv01/smelnx601 at /etc/e-smith/events/actions/backup2ws-backup line 71.

Why is that it tries to connect to ip 192.168.121.1:139 when the actual "destination" is 192.168.0.10 ?

If I ping from the prompt it gives this:
[root@smelnx601 cgi-bin]# ping wpfilesrv01
PING wpfilesrv01.homelinux.com (192.168.0.10) from 192.168.0.40 : 56(84) bytes of data.
