Hello

Dear members.

I need some help on multiple video Streaming setups, for learning purpose I just tested Windows Media Encoder 9 Series on my P4 machine running windows XP professional and its working fine for single streaming on local network. But I want multiple streaming options, see detail bellow

What I want to implement:

I wants to build and Audio/Video Streaming server for my home, so on that server I will copy multiple Audio and video track on server.
I want to give option to all users to play their own selective track from list which they can see their client Pc’s.

Later I will also connect Home TV’s with this server wirelessly using some hardware device. This idea I took from Digital Home concept.

Meanwhile I am going to start working on Windows server 2003 as I heard that Server 2k3 has built inn support for multiple streaming.

I know in Linux specilay in My SME 6.01 there will be batter solution, so am sure some help me out and give me some easy solution.

Regards

You are probably better served using something like MythTV with a plugin called MythStream.

It will do what you are trying to do.

MythTV can run on the Fedora core have a look at
http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/

You would then need to look at mythstream which is a plugin for MythTV at

I know this is not the only solution, but gives you something to look at.
