Topic: offsite host with dynamic ip won't resolve

I'm using EasyDNS to store the IP address of my computers that are not in my office.

From OUTSIDE the office, I can access my_computer_at_home.mydomain.com

At the office , (SME6 gateway) I get the message
Unable to determine IP address from host name for my_computer_at_home.mydomain.com

However, I can access the remote computer by it's IP address.  Is there a way to force SME to use an offsite DNS rather than the "local" cache or whatever that seems to think the host should be local?

   I think that I am seeing the same problem.

   I do not think that it is the fact that the IP addresses are in dynamic DNS, rather that these adresses take longer to resolve.

  I think we are seeing a resolver timeout due to lethargic ISP DNS server performance.

  Try some addresses in central Aftica,  they take a realy long time to resolve and my sme bauks.  I have tries 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0beta 9
