open_basedir restriction

I am getting this error when I try to upload an image in PhpCart. I would rather just disable whatever security feature is doing this.

WARNING: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/e-smith/files/ibays/avaldcom/html/modules/admin/lib/ps_main.inc on line 140
